The black-napes fruit dove (Ptilinopus melanospilus) also known as black-headed fruit dove.
Distribution and habitat:
The Black-naped Fruit Dove is found in Indonesia, Java, the Philippines, the Moluccan, and Borneo. Their habitat is at the edges of forest, suburban areas, lowlands, and hill forests.
Description:
The male has a pale grey head and black nape. The females and juveniles are green all over.
Breeding:
The male builds a flimsy nest in the tree. They typically lay only one egg per clutch and incubate the egg for 18-26 days.
